Kayak The Bay

Whether you have an hour or a whole day, Kayaking is a fantastic way to spend a hot day at the lake, offering both adventure and relaxation.

You can bring your own boat, or rent a single kayak or double kayak from Nicolet Beach Rentals. Kayak rentals are available by the hour, allowing you to tailor your adventure to your schedule and interests.

Single or Double?

Coordination is key if you rent a double kayak; paddling with your partner will make your journey smoother.

A single kayak can be more manageable for families with small children or pets, with the little ones sitting between your legs.

We have a wide selection of kayaks to accommodate families of all sizes.

1hr on the water:

A trip to Eagle Bluff is highly recommended for those looking to rent a kayak for just one hour. This nearby natural wonder provides breathtaking views of cliffs, caves, and local wildlife. This Bluff, right around the corner from the beach, provides a rewarding excursion, perfect for a serene sightseeing experience.

2+ hours on the water:

If you plan to rent a kayak for two hours or more, your options for exploration expand significantly. In addition to Eagle Bluff, you can also paddle out to the secluded island straight off the beach, which offers a true escape into nature. The island features trails that are only accessible by kayak, providing a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and tranquility of the area. This island is home to wildlife, and it’s even said that deer swim to and from it!

Tips:

Kayaking is relatively straightforward, but a few tips can enhance your experience.

When you want to turn left, paddle on the right side of your kayak, and to turn right, paddle on the left side.

Keeping your arms straight and extending your paddle further into the water will help you turn or pivot more efficiently. No T-rex arms.

Remember to look with your eyes rather than your shoulders to avoid tipping over.

Be prepared to get wet and enjoy a good upper-body workout.

Safety is paramount, so always wear a life jacket and inform someone of your plans on the water.

Whether you're seeking a scenic paddle or a longer, adventurous exploration, kayaking at Nicolet Beach Rentals provides a memorable way to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of Peninsula State Park.
